Peter's poetry place

This blog is a place to store and find my poetry. I write haiku - miniature poems of three lines in the Japanese tradition that strive to capture single moments with power and precision. I write in other styles too. Most of my poems seem to be about people - although there is also one about a duck. I've had a few published and I've included the links if you want to see them in context.

About Me

My photo
Peter Draper
I have been a registered nurse for more than 40 years. I am currently employed as Professor of Nursing Education at the University of Hull, UK, but I will be retiring from my career in the summer of 2020. I am ordained in the Church of England. I have an unpaid role as a minister in three local churches. I am a keen competition archer. For those who care about such things, I shoot a recurve (olympic style) bow. I keep fit by doing my local parkrun every Saturday, I enjoy yoga, and I cycle when I can.
